Firs,t I mounted a piece of green paper (embossed with the polka dots and the corners rounded) to the teal card base. I stamped the fish in green on the blue stripe paper and added it to the card. Then I taped down the ric-rac. For the sentiment box I had already made a cream box to fit on the Crumb Cake cake background piece and sponged sand layers using a post it note stencil (cut with a wavy line) and Caramel ink. I also attached the bucket (3D dot), shovel (glue) and shell (3D dot). I had stamped these in all the colors, cut the pieces out and put them back together on the sand. (Could have just colored the stamps if I had good markers!) I lightly highlighted the sand, shell and shovel with the gold paint and pen. I then realized the sentiment stamp I wanted to use wouldn't fit. So I re-stamped it on another piece of the paper and colored it. I used the original shape to trace between the letters and cut it out so the words stick out beyond the original shape. I cut off the sand and bucket piece from the original and put it together with the text piece before putting it with the background on the card. I embossed the turtle with Wild Wasabi powder and colored him with ink and marker. He is also on with a 3D dot. The last touch I added were the bubbles. I stamped them in turquoise and then squeezed the glossy accent to fill the bubbles and poured glitter on. I also glittered the pail edge a little.
I think I am going to put the text "for a cool day!" on the inside.

Really cute card - you did a nice job with the sketch. I love your beach theme and the DP & fishes are really nice together. Nice job sponging too. Fun!
