The Teapot Tuesday challenge this week is to use the colors blue, green and yellow, and the destination is one child of many with a critical illness. If you can, please come over to find out more and play along: MMTPT157 ~ TINK, LARUE AND SUNSHINE TOO! PLANNING A TEAPARTY FOR ME AND YOU! by Mothermark at Splitcoaststampers
No story this week, just inspired by my son Benjamin. Last week on vacation we visited a butterfly conservatory in Deerfield MA and bought him a blue butterfly kite. The next day was spent at Popham Beach State Park near Bath ME. At low tide, one can walk out on sandbars and through very shallow water to a coastal island. We walked out together, then Ben and his twin walked back to get the kite. As he held it aloft, we could watch his progress back toward the island. It was funny and magical all at once...and I wanted to share some of that magic with a sick child.
The box kites are 3-D and were made with toothpicks and tissue paper craft squares. They are held open by a piece of white CS that is folded and glued under the kite. It collapses for mailing, but pops open by itself or with a gentle push from inside. The strings are silver thread which are held in place with CE, then glued under the clouds. Yes, I can spell OCD. The deltoid kites are faux silk technique (oops, forgot to put the crossbars on...will do that before it is mailed). PT - 3
Thank you so much for looking. Again - if you can play please do. Have a peaceful day.

This is cute and fun! How neat to make a card for a child that is a memory of something you did with your children. Mom's always know what kids will like. Adorable card Marie.

Marie, this is great. I bet your son didn't realize he was inspiring his mom to make this wonderful card for a sick child. This is sure to put a smile on a child's face. OCD, too????
