I'm finally getting around to uploading some older cards that I posted on my blog--sorry for the delay! Here's what I posted about this one at the time:
This card was patterned after the technique demonstrated so ably by Beate Johns on Splitcoaststampers--the Double Embossing technique. The card stock came from Stampin Up (Lavender Lace) and the coloring was a combination of Prismacolor pencils and markers. A Spellbinders Labels One die was used for the blanked-out area, which was then stamped using PTI's Vintage Picnic set. The basket was popped up on dimensional dots. The diecut for the salutation (which came from PTI's Mega Mixed Messages set) was done using Labels One as well--after cutting the square piece, it was cut again using the same die to shorten the piece. I couldn't believe my eyes when I found this cute lavender gingham ribbon in my stash--worked out perfectly!
