This large stamp from Serendipity is one of the best Geranium images I've seen. Here it is in traditional red, which works well for a cheerful get well card, but there are so many other color possibilities I want to try.
I used one of my favorite techniques here, "Out of the Box," inspired by this beautiful card by Jenny Gropp:
I watercolored the image using reinkers and my aqua painter, and added some touches and shading with markers. After cutting it out I gave it a good dose of shimmer spray, which of course doesn't show up in the photo but I love the effect on a watercolored image. And it matches nicely with the shimmery white cardstock.
The finished size of this card is 5 1/4 inches square.

These geraniums are beautiful! I love the layout of this card and the beautiful embossing as well as the 'out of the box' feature and the black mat and black and white polka dot ribbon.

Thanks for the shout-out! One of my favorite techniques. Love those geraniums - one of my favorite plants to take care of. I wonder if I could get them to grow here?
