This week's Queen for the Day is Mary, aka octoberbabe. She has a fabulous gallery and I had a hard time choosing which card to CASE. I narrowed it down to three and then chose this one:
It gave me the idea to dig out the old SU jumbo Poinsettia wheel which someone gave me years ago and I have never used! The SCS Christmas Card Challenge for March is to use something from our stash which we've never used so it's perfect for that challenge too.
I kept Mary's layout and her idea of a wheel stamp across the card with something layered on it on the left and then the sentiment below on the right. But I changed the theme to Christmas, the colours to red and green. Also I cut and bordered my poinsettia wheel, rather than layering the whole panel the way Mary did. And I added the flourish under the poinsettia.
