Today's challenge from Benzi over at CCEE Stampers this week was to make a Dryer Sheet Flower using the linked tutorial.
I'm laughing just now at how many of us chose blue! The last time I tried this I used a beautiful golden orange.
I'll admit I cheated very slightly because I don't at all like the lingering smell on the dryer sheets, so I actually used a medium-weight Vilene interfacing which is a very similar texture. And anyway, I'd finally finished off (6 years on the go!!) a box of dryer sheets and still haven't got round to getting a new one. I don't exactly use my dryer ever week.
Flower as per tutorial, glimmer spray made with Faded Jeans re-inker and some Perfect Pearls. Silver Stickles and a gem brad.
For my base I stamped white card with IO Swirl Lace in Tea Dye, and sponged the edges with more Tea Dye and some Forest Moss. I added stitching, and finished off with pearls and the little decorative corners I found when I emptied out my Fleur de Lis corner die.
Flourishes are Cherry Lynn, sentiment is stamped with Versamark Olympia Green.

Very pretty flower and card, Sabrina. Six years to use a box of dryer sheets! That made me laugh as I use so many. I don't have a clothesline so everything hits the dryer. Good job on the challenge.

I also don't use dryer sheets. My daughter is currently living with me -- and she does. So I took one of hers out of the dryer the last time she did laundry. Your card turned out lovely. I like the flourish die you used behind your flower.
