I absolutely adore the colour palette in the first of Audrie's thumbs and will keep it in mind this week, but I was drawn back more than once to this Seahorse Oval platter, and I thought that the Embedded Images technique would be perfect for it.
Yes, I have some stray flecks of white EP, but on a morning when it took me three attempts to make my apple pancake for brunch properly, I decided not to stress over my card, I have enough of a headache already. I've added a detail shot so you can see the embedded effect better.
A2 navy base. White card embossed with Bubbles wiped with the Brilliance Peacock pad, and layered onto some Bazzill.
I cut a blue oval for the image panel - in fact I did stamp bubbles over it in a darker blue, but that got lost under the layers of EP! 3 layers of clear EP on the oval, and then I stamped the image using Versamark and sprinkled with white EP. Finished off with an everday sentiment - an easy-to-use card.
Thanks Audrie, there's some lovely stuff on that site!

Aw Sabrina, I am sorry you are having a bad day. I was hoping someone would make a seahorse card and you did! I love the embossing on the dark paper and also love the bubble embossed bg!

This is fabulous, Sabrina! You had the perfect image for it and I love the bubbles of the embossed bg. When I get those stray flecks, I'll usually try an eraser first. Works most of the time, but when it doesn't I usually take a sharpie the same color and dot them

Love those bubbles! And that technique you used for the seahorse is one I must try - it really makes your focal piece into a little "seahorse cameo". Great card!

LOVE what you did here with the embedded image and your inspiration platter! I kind of like the EP flakes ~ they looked like tiny sea horse bubbles to me
