I love this week's sketch from Ally and can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! I had a different idea in mind, but I saw my goodies that I bought at a retirement sale sittin there and remembered where he stamped with Metallic Luster and thought I'd try it out with Inka Gold. I spread some onto my craft mat and then diluted it with water. I then inked up my images and stamped onto Night of Navy. I also added some onto the edges of my panel. For my sentiment, I diecut both watercolor paper and Brushed Silver and layered them together for more depth. I popped the Navy panel over a lighter blue.
* Thanks to all who prayed for my mom and our family. Mom passed away Saturday night with my dad at her side. We were able to fulfill her wish to die at home with family caring for her and God showed so much grace in keeping Mom from having to experience things she feared from the brain metastases. Will have viewing and funeral at the end of the week so trusting in that grace to get us through that as well.

Gail, I'm so sorry for your loss. How wonderful that she could stay at home and be with your dad during this difficult time. Beautiful snowflakes that can't help but bring "Joy" to the recipient! ~Hugs

Oh, Gail, I'm so sorry for the loss of your mom and will be praying for your family. Before reading the description for your card, I thought your background was bleached. Thanks for sharing what you learned about the Inka Gold .. will need to try this! Beautiful!

Oh Gail, my deepest sympathy to you and your family. There is comfort in knowing that your dad was at your mom's side and she passed in the comfort of her own home. ((hugs))
I just saw Andy's video over this past weekend, and was equally impressed with his idea. I absolutely love the exquisite and elegant design you created with your snowflakes. The technique worked beautifully and I can't wait to try it.
