I thought of this string of lantern as soon as I saw the TLC challenge. I stamped them on white and colored with markers but it was too stark. So I sponged on some Certainly celery ink for the background. I made my lantern with the ornament punch, but it did look very much like and ornament to me until I added the gold bar at the bottom of it and put the string with tassel ends sticking out. then it looked like a lantern. Fun technique, thanks Sabrina and Kia!

The ornament punch was an inspired choice, Pat, and I love the little bird on it. I'm trying to remember whether I suggested tassels, I know they were in my write-up in my mind as an optional extra. The little string of stamped lanterns is sweet.

I love the way you used an ornament for the lantern - really look authentic - beautifully done!!

Beautiful lanterns! I love the perspective with the closer one in the front. Such pretty detail on this one. Love that Kimono Kids set for the other lantern swag, one of the cutest SU sets ever!

Love your combination of stamped and crimped lanterns! The colours are terrific and very festive! Isn't amazing how much a little detail will add to the effect we are trying to achieve? That bit of tassel was the perfect touch!

I'm always surprised at how many people have what I would consider 'unusual' stamps. We all have flowers, I think, but how many have lanterns. Your string of small lanterns is great and the large one is so pretty!
