I really had fun with these two challenges today!
First Wendy's challenge to use a BG stamp that she called "Back in the Saddle Again" made me want to use this fun horse from Bugaboo. For my background stamp, I might have chosen Canvas, but Wendy already used that one for her sample. So I decided on Paisley, even though it doesn't really match this silly horse cartoon. I just think this is such a lovely stamp and I pretty much never use it. I think that's because I usually get bald spots, but I find that Versa Mark always covers better than dye inks. So my embossing worked out really well, Then I sponged it with Tea Dye and Aged Mahogany.
For MariLynn's Mix-ability challenge, I really did go with a silver thread among the gold with a gold background and a silver cord just kind of wound up and placed behind my image. I've never heard the song and I promise to check it out later today
I'm sending this to my friend who gave me the Paisley stamp. I hope it doesn't make her wish she kept it. LOL!

I think that bg goes really well with the horse image. It actually has kind of a western feel to it. That horse is pretty darn cute ....so is your card!

Well, Jen, paisley is often the pattern or design on a bandanna, so I think the bg works perfectly with that adorably cute horse! Fun image and colored so wonderfully!

What a fun card! That horse has such a funny look on his face! You did a great job! I know what you mean about the big stamps not covering or getting bald spots. I had to stamp mine four times to get good coverage.
