IC632 - Uncommon Goods. My inspiration came from this marvelous herbal water garden deluxe https://www.uncommongoods.com/produc...-garden-deluxe, and the timing is perfect because my DSS is an avid fisherman and his birthday is next week.
I differed in that my container is an Altoid tin, my fish are not real, and I have clear casting resin instead of actual water.
The front, back and sides are made using the Faux Stamped Leather technique, Faux Stamped Leather Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers. My DSS is an avid largemouth bass fisherman, so I used bass photos from Pinterest and the Web on the inside. In the deep section of the tin the photo was laminated and then clear casting resin poured over the photo and two small shells. When the first layer was nearly set, I fussy cut two photos of single bass, laminated them, and applied part of one at the top right corner and a full photo near the bottom. Then I added another layer of resin so it would look like they are all swimming in water. The tin was finished off with strands of sea grass around the edges of the resin, to blend in the edges with the image.
Hopefully DSS will like this. . TFL

There's no fisherman alive (surely) who wouldn't like to have this awesome tin. He can put his favorite hook in there.

Kandie, this is simply incredible and so perfect for the fisherman in your life. I think what is really neat about this tin is how rustic and masculine the outside is (with a terrific sentiment too) and then you open the tin to these wonderful bright fish images- surprise! How fun! I am always impressed by the level of detail you employ by adding in little bits and elements to complete your projects. This is a huge winner in my book! ~Karen.

Absolutely WOW!!!! I can't imagine anyone wanting to put anything into this work of art. It may be masculine and for a smelly fisherman, but still a piece of beautiful, creative genius. I guess once you gift it, it belongs to the recipient. You did a magnificent job!
