For Lee's "Remembering" CAS challenge, I've made a Memorial Day themed sympathy card to replenish my sympathy card stash. We're still pretty broken up about our friend Nick's suicide. And even more so today, because I keep telling my husband that he should be counted as a casualty of the war. I've made this card with him in mind. A very simple CAS card with red, white, and blue and poppies. I did just use this exact sentiment for the card that I actually sent to his parents, but it's just so perfect for him, that I had to reuse it. Today we're making a donation to Mission 22 in his name. A charity that is working to end veteran suicide.

I share your sadness for the too-many servicemen and women who are struggling so after serving in combat. Oh, how I wish this world would be peaceful.
Your poppies are so perfect to symbolize remembrance and that is such a beautiful sentiment. Hugs, my friend.
