This card is for two challenges.
TLC693 - Crayon resist
SCSCCJUN18 - The Fan Club June Christmas challenge
I first stamped the winter pines with Lucky Clover then re-stamped with Pine Needles just to give them a bit of dimension. I then masked the image with a post it note.
I stamped the group of winter trees with Versa Mark - Watermark and embossed them with the fine white embossing powder.
Next I went over the Winter Pines with the white wax crayon making sure I covered the areas I wanted as snow as well as all of the green.
Once this was done I masked up a border with the masking tape and sponged the colours on going straight over both the winter pines and the white trees.
I removed the masking tape, rubbed the wax crayon off the trees with some paper towel heat embossed the greeting in silver and finally mounted the panel onto some craft foam and then the base of the card with Tombo glue and there you have it.
I'm quite happy with the result although there are a couple of spots on the winter pines where I didn't quite cover with the wax crayon and some of the background colour has shown through but in reality it just gives it a bit of depth....well that's my story and I'm sticking to it lol
Thanks for looking cheers Marg

Fabulous masking to create this beautiful winter scene, Marg. I got bits of colour in my sunshine card too, but I think it just adds to the look. It certainly does here... trees aren't solid, after all.

Marg, this is gorgeous! I love how you've used this great technique, and what beautiful colors. I agree with Stacy about the perspective of the trees. Stunning! So glad you made a card for June's Fan Club/Dirty Dozen Christmas Challenge! You are really making great progress this year!! Hugs! xoxo
