This is for Jeanne’s Free 4 All Challenge Think Small – I chose to make a 3x3 card and for Anne’s Inspiration Challenge – I select one of her choices on the bottom row, left side. I was inspired by the orange & blue colors and the plaid pattern.
I found a piece in my scrap DSP drawer that had the colors and a plaid pattern. It just perfect size for a strip on a 3X3 card front, two banners on the candy bag & a strip on the inside. I stamped the sentiment and die-cut it in a stitched circle and die-cut a circle of fun foam to go underneath for a little raised dimension. For the background, I used a hard-plastic gift card to make swipes of what I thought was white acrylic paint; it turned out to be modeling paste which explains why it didn’t want to spread like paint. I like it except for the blotch in the corner. It has a cool rough texture. No time to redo it anyway. I added a Pumpkin Pie enamel heart. This card and candy bag is going to my DH who is in the hospital; our adult kids are with him today to give me a respite after 19 days. Every day I bring him something – a piece of mail, clean clothes, a puzzle book, tomorrow I will bring him lots of kisses and some chocolate ones, too. ;-) A 3x3 card was just perfect to go along with the bag. Thanks for looking!

Great take off from the plaid shirt! I looked at those plaids. I like the combination of your papers. The orange works really well - great for this time of year.
