Sorry, my squares ended up a little big for the sketch today. I needed to make a birthday card for my best friend, Dave, and I had an idea to make it like pictures of us growing up by using the SU stick figures stamp set. But the "older" version of us needed to big a square. I think they look a lot like us. LOL! I gave little Dave green hair, because he used to dye his hair crazy colors in high school. I liked the green the best. I thought this sentiment would go well with our friendship and sponged a bit of Antique Linen using my Tim Holtz Grunge stencil to make the pictures look a little old. And added some arrow stickers around the card to try to point to which one of us is the bad influence. I found this paper that I had spread a bunch of leftover paint on and used it for the background. I've been trying really hard to use the stuff in my scrap basket more often.

Such a clever idea! I love it. The splashed background is terrific. Love the photo squares. What a fun sentiment. I like the camera clip, too. Fun & creative card! TFS

Lots of nice things are happening on this card. Yes, the background is perfect, and yes, the "growing up" idea is cute. I also really like the sentiment BUT the best thing about this card is that you've had the same best friend since you were little. That's a priceless story!

Love the idea of showing you and your friend at two stages in your lives! The film strip framing and camera clip are wonderful touches. That colourful background works really well. What a delightful card!
