I used a piece of faux silk with embossing for my rough texture and cut the branch out of metallic CS for the smooth element. The CS for both the base and the square (which I substituted for the circle in the sketch) is smooth also. It's been quite a while since I have been able to play in any of the challenges so I was using a few things out of my boxes.

Beautiful card. Love the texture of the faux silk piece. The soft little snowflakes are nice. Wonderfully done all around with both challenges! So glad you are able to play along with the Sketch Challenge. TFS

Really like the color palette you chose, Pat. It's striking given your design and it also has a peaceful, seasonal feel. As others have mentioned, the snowflakes are a nice touch. TFS.
