For this month's Teapot challenge we get to create a card based on Chinese New Year "Year of the Rat". Extra cookies if you include a rat on your card! Can you find the little rat I added to my card?
I had so much fun digging through my Origami and Oriental Washi paper scraps to create my card using the colors for Year of the Rat: blue, gold and green. I punched dozens of little gold flowers and used my stylus to shape flowers and glued them onto a piece of oriental DP that I had fussy cut and glued onto a layer of green Origami paper.
I glued a piece of Origami paper onto a light blue card, then I added a layer of gold Origami paper on which I added lines of gold Starform stickers. I put gold lines around my green layer, also, and glued onto card. I added a little round flower design to card and stamped and colored a little rat and glued him down, drawing lines so that he looks like he's pulling the cart. The card looks much more vibrant and shiny in real life.

Yes, I do spy your little rat. He is working hard to pull that cart. I love all your origami papers. You really put some work into this card for the challenge and it shows. I think I have some of those gold stickers and mine were from Flower Soft. They really come in handy...such as here. How super you made all those flowers.

Love your little rat. And your papers - gorgeous! We have quite a bit of paper that we've got over the years in the Japanese Cultural Centre in Paris, but I definitely don't have anything as sheer fun as that with the little carts - the rat totally looks as if he belongs there. Love the little gold flowers.
