Great WT challenge this week. I have managed to get into the garden a few times this month, but winter was in full force today with hail and snow much of the day so card making was my focus. This card took way longer that it should have as I searched the SU Bloominâ with Love gallery for some inspiration. It's a harder set to work with than meets the eye (at least for me). Tried several techniques (watercolor vs sponging/coloring) before I settled on the latter. Stamped the flowers and colored them with markers and then again with versa mark marker and embossed with clear powder. Just wondering if anyone else has tried to blend with the versa mark pen. It doesn't work very well - actually not at all! LOL After mistaking the wrong pen more than once, I finally put some tape on it so I can quickly get the correct blender pen.
Anyway, partial stamped again with Silhouette floral around the bouquet. Used SU stamp placer to stamp wheelbarrow. Colored with WC crayons and pencils and blended. Sponged the grass with old olive and garden green and then stamped the grass from the In the Meadow stamp set. Added some butterflies from the same set and lightly sponged with so saffron and marina mist. Stamped BG panel with the flowers and mounted front panel on edged BG. Popped sentiment with dimensionals. Added some gems to flower centers. TFL
