Barbara has a lovely selection of colors for us this week: So Saffon + Terracotta Tile + Berry Burst + Tranquil Tide with a stencil for dessert.
A while back I made a diecut that corresponds to this image but after trying to add a two toned greeting, decided that the greeting didn't look quite as amazing as I had hoped. So, I set the die cut aside. It was still on my desk when I was looking for a stencil to use for Barbara's challenge. I taped it down over a white piece of cardstock and used the challenge colors and daubers to apply color over the die cut/stencil. Berry Burst and Tranquil Tide are retired and, while I still had Berry Burst, Tranquil Tide appears to have found a new home. So, I sponged with a little Shaded Spruce and Pretty Peacock hoping they could play the part.
I'm not sure the image was meant to be used as a stencil instead of a die cut but I think it worked out OK. I trimmed it down and mounted it on a white card base after adding a greeting. No embellishments - a simple, easy to mail card.
Thanks so much for looking! I hope you join us and play along this week.

How incredibly clever to use the die cut as a stencil, and to create your own version of Tranquil Tide. Your eye was perfect on that one, too! Love this beautiful card!
