Anyone who knows me well knows that I have John Coltrane's quote as part of my SCS signature. Some have scripture, I have John. I just love this quote, it just hits me everytime I see it. John Coltrane died at 40 from liver cancer, probably from his addictions. What a fabulous sax player, also played flute, which makes him a kindred spirit.
Since this matchbook needed to have a jazz influence, I went with John and the sax. I just love this set from Club Scrap, so interesting, so cool. I also uploaded a picture of the inside, using some mixed media papers from my stash. I decided that I would keep them in the matchbook and not tear them out. Thanks, Sonja, for a 'cool, man, cool' challenge. BTW, the title of this card is a song too, recorded by The Moon Glows, 1956. Love it!

What a great idea to make a little swatch book. So many uses when you think about it as a tidy storage unit-ink swatches, technique, media. Very "cool, man, cool". Thanks for playing in my VSN challenge.
