I was digging in my stash and found this background that had been stamped in taken with teal using a wheel, which I'm not sure I even have anymore, and I know that I no longer own the matching stamp set. Seemed like a good idea to use the piece, so I colored it with watercolor pencils and blender pen and built my card around it. The center leaf is from autumn leaf prints, which is one of my favorite leaf sets and gets used a lot. I inked the leaf and then misted it with water before stamping (because my ink pad was quite dry) LOL. I layered it on not quite navy and added some faux piercing. I chose to use some diagonals because they are a bit different and fun. After attaching the center diagonal strip, I lined up the edge of the strip on my paper cutter, so I could get the same angle for the corners, and then attached the piece to a burgundy base. The corner punch is a single punch with two different corners, which layer nicely.

Your corner pieces are really pretty. How fun to find something you had for so long but now no longer own the matching stamp set. Improvising....your center leaf worked out so well~

Very creative to combine these challenges and how cool of you to use a repeating wheel pattern! I love so many of the patterns on my wheels and I haven't stamped with one in quite some time!

I love how you started with a panel in your stash and created this lovely card from it. That leaf panel in the centre is awesome. TFS. Happy day

Ah, you got a great look with your technique with that dry ink pad, Melody. That leaf caught my eye right away. Love the color and wonderfully scrolled corners! Great title too!
