This card is for my oldest daughter whose birthday is later this month. Her favorite color is red and she also likes art deco style which is why I'm entering it in the Alphabet Challenge letter V for vintage. I went with Art Deco vintage.
I searched Pinterest for ideas for art deco vintage cards. This is a mash up of a couple of them and I had to modify the base of the step card to get it the way I wanted it (not my strong suit!).
I started with a card base of 8.5 x 10. Scored in half at 5. Cut along the length, in at 3.25" from each side from 2" to 7". I then scored the sides at 2", 3", 4", 5", and 7", folding both sides to create the step card base with steps on both sides.
Then, a lot of measuring, drawing, and cutting. I created my silver pieces, adding the black on, then cut my red piece and again added black. After getting all of that added to the base, I stamped the 21 using the Stamp-a-ma-jig to get them level together. Heat embossed that, and die cut with a square framelit and matted with silver.
I printed the digi image and colored her with Copics. Then the fun of fussy cutting her. I heat embossed the sentiment and matted it with red foil. I really like how it turned out and am sure my DD1 will love it!
Thanks for the challenge and thanks for looking!
