Collections? We have a few. I could not figure out how to depict my collection of Swarovski Crystal or my collection of lead crystal toothpick holders! So I went with our collection of lighthouses. I tried & failed at using the KSS lighthouse, so went with this older SU set. We live in a lighthouse community. In fact, my avatar is the Fairport Harbor Light on a hill above Lake Erie. It is no longer working & is a museum & my DH volunteers there.
For my card, I stamped & colored with prismacolor pencils. I left off a sentiment for now. The image is of the Nova Scotia light.
In the photo is one of the Fairport Lights that's in our collection. That is the view from Lake Erie.
Thanks for stopping by.

I love lighthouses! I have seen a couple like the one in Peggy's Cove by Halifax. And some in Maine. It is so cool you collect them. Pretty card and colored beautifully with your pencils.

My mother and father were avid photographers, and went all over taking pictures of lighthouses. They missed yours, alas. I love your lighthouse card, mf. so softly colored with pencils - a beauty!

A beautiful lighthouse on your card, lovely colored!! and you are lucky to live so close to a real lighthouse, even if it's a museum now, the view must be terrific!!

The CAS treatment and expansive white frame give this a feeling of lonely isolation which I associate with lighthouses (and their keepers) not from reality as I live in the high desert but from the stories I've read and movies I've seen. Beautiful depiction of your collection.

Lighthouses seem like a lovely thing to collect, especially as you have a local tie to them. Your CAS design shows off the stamp beautifully. I am intrigued by the idea of lead crystal toothpick holders. I've never even heard of such a thing, but it's so specific it sounds like a serious collection, vs. my "that's cute, I'll buy it" collection.

Your crystal collections sound lovely...I have some Swarovski pieces are a few cheaper ones too...but they would indeed be hard to depict on a card, and a lighthouse is always a winner .

Love hearing about your collections. I had a couple of Swarovski pieces but no place to properly display them so eventually let them go. Love your softly coloured lighthouse. How nice to live in a lighthouse community.
