Continuing my fascination with CAS...not sure where that came from. The cards may look simple but CAS certainly isn't simple often.
I did two for the CC and today's sketch. The sketch worked well for CAS so thanks for that. I brayered a bunch of very vanilla cs with the two colors and went from there (I love brayering). The one on the left is a bit more CAS because I let the snowflakes be the two vertical pieces. I added the espresso color to give this a bit more interest. I hope the brass Liquid Pearls on the right look sort of like soft suede (!?).
This is also for yesterday's tea party for a neighbor. No, I'm not stalking a neighbor with the card on the left; the one on the right will go to a neighbor, haven't decided which one. I have known Scott across the street since I was 13, as he and I both grew up on this street. The one on the left will probably go to a granddaughter. I wasn't in love with my own children at first sight, I was too scared, but I was in love with my grands at 'frost sight.'

Beautiful cards with the challenge colors. Terrific combination of challenges for two different cards. Nice take on the sketch. Love the white heat embossing and how you used your ribbon scrap. Clever!

love them both! So inspired...so well done! And I love you are dipping your toe in CAS. The brayered bg's wonderful...I must dig mine out and roll along.
What a treasure to remember living on that street most of your life in various seasons. So much history.

Both cards are delightful and beautiful made more so by that beautiful brayer look. I especially love the Christmas tree on the right card and the fun sentiment on the left. Great memories and Great cards. I don't think CAS is easy at all. I always struggle with it.

Jean, those are gorgeous. I have two terms - quick and easy which is what it says, and CAS which is often neither. Beautiful use of the colours and brayer.
