LeAnn has such a fun color combination for us this week: I'm passing on green for dessert since you can't make a yellow and purple Viking if you live in Minnesota and have green ANYWHERE in the vicinity. (This started as a birthday card for my son who is a MN Vikings fan but ended up a little too "cute" for him so I went for a Valentine theme.) I tried to make the scallops on the Smoky Slate layer less "cute" by rotating the die ever so slightly and then die cutting it a second time so the scallops look a little more like points or a circular saw.
Thanks for peeking! I hope you will play along with us this week

I thought for sure everyone would use the same set I used this week-you chose well!! Your little Viking is colored to perfection and very little detail makes this a stand out!!

this is such a cute Valentine card Chris. I really like your Viking image and also how you transformed the scallops- it's a great masculine card I love the punny sentiment- something you don't usually do

Even the thumbnail had me chuckling and now the full blown pic has me laughing out loud. Understand the 'no green allowed.' I'm not happy with our 'green and gold' lately. My brother in law Dale is a Viking fan, he was not happy at all this season. I won't be buying this set, even for Dale, but you created a cute anti-Packer card for sure. There is always next year.

Oh Chris this is soooooo cute! It's funny when I selected these colors I thought of my high school colors... Purple and Gold are brave and bold! Go Bulldogs! Haha! Therefore I really love your take with the Viking! Such a nice write up and will have to try rotating the die with the scallops, what an ingenious idea! Love it all!

Chris, I love this card! You certainly have an artistic eye! The borders on the card are perfection, and the little Viking guy is too cute, and colored so beautifully!
