This is for FS804 and Sue aka stampinspooky is our featured artist this week. Congratulations, Sue! I enjoyed browsing through your lovely gallery. I finally settled on your You Make Life Beautiful card for my inspiration.
I kept the large flower theme with a sentiment. I used a simple embossed layer for my card base rather than adding layers. I created die cut hydrangeas and leaves to replace the large stamped florals. I changed the color combination from bright pink and green to purple and green. I used a small Thank You sentiment stamped directly on the card base instead of popped up layers.
Check out my 2011 Hydrangea step by step tutorial to see how I create the rounded flower. The pics will show that I used flower punches back then but the concept is the same.

Absolutely gorgeous. The embossed frame is such a beautiful way to frame the flowers.
Reminds me of the beautiful hydrangeas my parents have in their yard.

That embossed frame is gorgeous, but the flowers totally steal the show. Beautiful card/case, Kittie. I have used your tutorial for years - one of my favorite tutorials of all time. Hugz

As I make comments, sitting here at my window, I can look out and see my hydrangeas, so like yours. You are just amazing with those flowers, mf.

Stunning. Love the embossed frame -- I can see all kinds of uses for that gem. And, as always, the 3D flower is spectacular. Some day I really need to just sit and cut and practice making shaped petals/flowers. You make it look so appealing. Gorgeous card.
