Oh I have missed access to my scanner, camera, and printer - but I'm finally back - yippee! Due to time constraints with the interior design project I've been working I haven't created nearly as much as I would like to but here is one of my creations for my Stamp Out Breast Cancer Fund/Card Raiser event. The fold is sprayed with Pearl-ex/hairspray to give it some "pep" and the face is versamarked with the Handstitched Background. Doing the shrink plastic was REALLY tricky because I couldn't sand it in order to keep it really clear - I had to hold it down with two long needles in the holes with my left hand while heating it with the tool in my right. It did stick to itself a little, but with persistence I finally got it right.

The event I am putting my heart and soul into during October is raising money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Puget Sound Affiliate - I contacted them and have received a big thumbs up. The event I am putting together is a fund/card raiser - "Stamp Out Breast Cancer". It will take place on October 30th up on the Issaquah Plateau. All financial donations will go directly to the foundation (checks will be written directly to Susan G. Komen), all "Hope Is..." stamp sets I sell I am donating an additional $2 to the foundation and all profits on purchases made that day will also go to the foundation. I have been lucky enough to have a local business help me out with a supply donation and will be approaching others as well being that the suppies will probably cost close to $300. I have been putting together materials to make at least 500 cards at this event. These cards will be distributed to the local cancer treatment centers - the themes of the cards are thank you, encouragement and hope. If anyone in the Puget Sound Area is reading this and would like to help me or contribute please contact me!

Again, another fabulous card from you!! I looked in your gallery and I am amazed - love everything!! This one of the two is my favorite. The upload of the detail of this card really shows off the accents of this card. Lovely job!!

Such a beautiful card. I just got my set today and can't wait to play. Your fundraiser sounds great. I am letting my customers know that all profits I make from anything PINK will be donated to Breast Cancer Research. I contacted the American Cancer Society and they are sending me information packs on Breast Cancer Detection and awareness. I plan to hand these out at my workshops in October.
