This is the card I came up with for a swap at the Minneapolis 2006/2007 Regionals. My upline gave me the idea to do crayon resist and I took it from there.
This is the prototype I first came up with and they look basically the same except some of the cards I made had more holes so the end of the thread was knotted on the right side too. I only managed to make about 30 of these due to time limitations. These took FOREVER to make. I did it all last minute of course.
People seemed to like this swap a lot, I wish I had spent more time and had more product to use!
Crayon Resist: Glossy Paper, Stamped Mixed Bouquet in Chocolate Chip Classic Ink. Waited for it to dry. Used a Crayola White Crayon on the parts that I wanted to highlight. Sponged Marigold Morning Classic in the center of the big flowers, then Pumpkin Pie Classic. Then I sponged Brocade Blue Classic over the little flowers and Always Artichoke Classic over the leaves areas. I just filled in the background with the same color and was MOP (Messy on Purpose) to give the card a rustic/rough look. Once the sponging was done then I just wiped the entire thing with a tissue. All done!
I should mention that I put this in the SU! swap box at the MN Regionals. Maybe it will get picked for something! Wouldn't that be cool?

I would want one of those...bet you were a popular swapper. Colors are great and your attention to detail is wonderful. Love the crayon resist. I think I am inspired! Off to find a white crayon in my DD's bedroom...LOL
