I've been going to Home Depot and everytime I pass by the isles where they have anything that looks stampable, I have to pick it up and see is it's workable. Well, I bought 3 dozen switch plates and altered them! These were so much fun to make. Right now I'm working on one fo rmy kids room who want a jungle theme now that they're sharing a room due to new house guests staying for a while.

Sure...no prob. I left the plate unsanded so it can be smooth and workable with the alcohol inks. I dropped a few drops of (gosh I can't remember the ink names now, but they were from Ranger inks) and then spritzed a bit of alcohol and "swooshed" the ink around with a cotton ball. Once that was dry, I stamped the turtles randomly or more like making them look at if they were swimming to the surface...lol...and colored them in using Adrinorack markers. I then heat set it and once it was dry, I used an embossing ink pad to dab it and then dipped it in regular fine clear gloss embossing powder. Once I got the first 3 coats down, I started using UTEE to give it more shine and make it thicker. I worked about an hour or so on this one, so be prepared. I would love to see your work. ;)
