I'm making these for an upcoming craft fair. I think pricing is the hardest part, how much do you think I can sell these for? I have about $1 in supplies just for one. the acrylic piece is a baseball card protector and I bought the chain ball links in bulk. I plan to personalize them with individual names. Thanks for looking!!
*** I was at the Dollar Tree today 3/22/07 and saw the rigid baseball card protectors, they come in a pack of 25 made by Ultra Pro. ***

Wow, I love this idea! I have lots of the baseball card sleeves (got them at Target I think). I think you should ask $2.00 or $2.50, maybe more if they are personalized.

I organized and ran a holiday craft boutique for over 10 years and our rule of thumb on pricing was to double the cost of making the item, then add on accordingly if it is something that really takes time. i.e., a quick Christmas ornament was double the cost to make while a crocheted afgan would include a cost for time. Back to your backpack tags, I think you should charge $3.00 if you are going to personalize them...and I think you should for better sales. Good luck!

These look WONDERFUL! You've got me thinking of what I can do for a welcome back to school goodie for next year! (I teach fifth grade and like to welcome the kids with something.)
