I made this card for the Warm Wollen Mittens challenge. It all started with a length of yarn I had from an old sweater (the extra length they give you when you buy the sweater in case you need to repair it). Anyway, I don't have that sweater anymore so I transfered the fiber to my crafting stash.
I used a piece to hang from a ball in the basket, and I used the rest to wrap around my blue circle. I used an old weekly sketch, which was perfect for my design.
I made a pile of knit mittens in the same colors as the yarn beside the basket, and I stamped the background with the Flannel plaid bg stamp to add to the fabric feel of the card.
The sentiment reads, "Petites douceurs" (Sweet things), which I made by combining two stamps from Fancy Flexible Phrases and adding the plural form to one word with a marker.
TFL!

I love the pile of mittens next to the basket of yarn! That's so creative! Good use for your extra scrap of yarn too. Makes it worth keeping all these things around, doesn't it ;-)
Great job!
