I will be adding a pin backing to this to make it into a broach.
Heat a CD with your heat gun for several seconds, then cut abstract shapes with a scissors. If you try to cut it cold, the CD will splinter. Apply Chalk or Brilliance ink to desired colors. Heat set. You can add more color to intensify the background, but heat set between each layer of ink. Stamp image with Staz-On. Heat set. Cover piece with versamark or embossing ink and apply clear embossing powder. Heat. You may need to add several more layers of embossing powder to get a smooth glass-like surface. Before you emboss, the piece may seem a bit dull, but it will brighten up a lot with the embossing.
If you have to heat it too many times, you will notice the background color start to fade just a little, so make it bright at the beginning. Give it a try!!
