My next door neighbor is throwing a baby shower for her 21 year old daughter who is due in April. I offered to make the shower invites for her and came up with a few ideas which I presented to them. This is the "least disliked" one they chose. I asked what I could do to make it better, but they just said they'd get back to me.
Today I get a call from my neighbor telling me that she and her daughter stopped into a stationery store and found the cutest invites for the shower, and that they were having them printed up.
No big deal, really, but I'm curious ... what is wrong with the one I made? I thought it came out pretty cute.
What would you have done differently?
Thanks.

If they are having invites printed up, they probably aren't the kind of people who like handmade (they don't even want to write the information in). Your card is really cute and nicely done, so it's not anything that you've done or haven't done, just the overall preference of your neighbor. I myself was asked to make the invitations for a baby shower for one of the teachers at my school, so I have been "shopping" for ideas here quite a bit lately, and really like this one! So thanks for sharing!
