I stamp with a group of ladies once a month (mostly demos and former demos) and our challenge card(s) for this month were a black & white card, then the same card again in two other colors. I messed up and thought we were to make the same card in another color besides black, hence the red card. Oh well... I was pleased with the results anyway!
The cards are made using the Bodacious Boquet set (I LOVE that set!). For the black and white card I had some cool wavy corrugated black lightweight cardboard kind of stuff (that sounded totally confusing!!). Since I didn't have that for the red card and I wanted to create some type of texture for that piece, I embossed on the red c/s with red embossing powder. Just enough difference to give it a little depth (hard to see in the pic). The large flower is embossed in black and red on their respective cards. After that, both cards are exactly the same. Embossed the smaller flowers in white on naturals white c/s, then added the crystals for some bling and put crystal brads in the large flower. Took me a while to come up with my 'plan' - B&W cards are really hard for me! LOL!
