This is my first attempt at a microscope slide ornament. It is double-sided. The scan is not great...the glitter really reflects badly. But you get the idea. I got the slides at a hobby store that sells science kit stuff.

Sorry, I thought the directions were posted on the resource section of the site, that's where I got the idea, but I couldn't find it. Anyway, what I did: Stamp on piece of bordering blue. Then cut two pieces to fit the size of the slide. (one for each side). Run the pieces through the Xyron so the stamped side would be sticky. Dunk the sticky sides in Dazzling Diamonds glitter. Adhere the two pieces of paper together with double sided tape, with a piece of wire sandwiched in the middle. Then put the paper sandwich between two microscope slides. Wrap double stick tape around the edges of the slide sandwich and then dunk the sides in silver embossing powder and heat. Tie ribbon and cord aroung the wire and voila.
Go to the gallery section and search "microscope slides" and see some even better submissions from some other folks.
Have fun! Glad you liked it!

Good job! I went to an upline meeting last night and we did these as our M & T. We used the tall snowman from It's Snow Time and clear micro beads around the outside. They also look cute!
