My first post here. I like to make all my Christmas cards different, never know what I'll do, just start playing and it comes together. Used non-su copper embossing powder to set off the baroque burgundy poinsettia, it looks a bit dull here, is shinier in person . The garland at the bottom is paste embossed from a brass stencil and colored with chalks and metallic rub-ons.

Tinnalee & madew - I've been dry embossing longer than I've stamped. Used to get cramped hands from making 2 dozen cards. Earlier this year I took a class in paste embossing at a local shop. Sooooo much easier! The paste is like frosting, you tape down the stencil covering the paper all around, then spread the paste, remove stencil and let dry. You can then use any medium to color as you would on paper. Also, when paste is still wet, you can dust it with glitter. Very fun.
