A student in one of my classes requested that we make a card shaped like purse. (I have been teaching there for four years and welcome ideas for projects now since I have shown them everything style and technique I have learned thus far) All the patterns I found seemed to make only little purses. I wanted something more substantial that we could use for a Mother's Day card. This is what I came up with. It does require a full sheet of cs (folded in half). I used some patterned paper I had from one of those big stacks from Bob and Tom Studio. I used the slit punch to make the scallop. The ribbon strap is really non-functional and will collapse easily for mailing. It fits in a greeting card size envelope.
