To get that lacy effect, you very carefully aim your heat gun at the organdy ribbon until it starts to shrivel up. I hold one end of the ribbon to my heating surface with the back end of a small artist's brush. It's fun and easy to do/overdo. I like the element of surprise... It's an especially wonderful technique for those of us whose fingers are bow-challenged!

How did you do your bleaching?!? That's SO pretty! All I've done is actually "stamp" with bleach...but WOW! Please share your technique as I'd LOVE to try it!

MY BLEACHING TIPS...
The easiest way for me to bleach cs (after stamping with VersaMark and embossing with clear ep) is to use a bleach pen. If you have a jug of the splashless liquid gel, that works well too!
I squeeze/glop some onto a small piece of white felt (~2" square or less) that you can just toss when you're done. If I'm going to do a lot, I use 2 layers of felt. No spilling and very little odor, which evaporates within 15-20 minutes.
You will need to refresh the felt about every 10-15 minutes; when it stops working. You can put the moist felt in a small plastic container with a tight-fitting lid and close it whenever you're not actually working with it, and the bleach may stay active longer.
To highlight an area, I reapply to that part of the design with fresh bleach.
Also, for better control than a q-tip, I prefer a cheap sponge-tipped eye shadow applicator. For fine detailed work, the SU Applicator Refills for the Stampin' Pastels are wonderful (15 for $2.95)!
I especially love the gold tones that emerge from basic black cs. The undertone on mellow moss is usually close to barely banana. Other favorites are baroque burgundy, brilliant blue, lovely lilac, and not quite navy. The Wonderful Wings set gives you lots of opportunities for creativity... Enjoy! Joyce
