We moved last August and I finally have gotten my stamping space in order. I'm uploading my new photos of my new space. As a bonus, we have a 2nd kitchen in our daylight basement. I've taken it over as a stamp room, which is perfect because of all of the cabinets, the mini dishwasher (for washing my Stampin' Scrub among other things), the oven (for all kinds of things), and the plentiful outlets! Plus, I finally have a sink in my craft room, which I have wanted forever!
This is my main stamping desk. I wanted to keep as much weight as possible off of my stamping table, plus I wanted room for pens and smaller things I need on hand.
My main goal was to have my most used stamping goodies within arm's reach. This is for two reasons. First, I wanted to be able to reach quickly and use it, and second, I wanted to be able to put it away quickly to keep my tabletop as clean as possible. I tend to get very cluttered and it drives me crazy!
I had my hubby mount an 8-inch deep shelf about 8 inches above the table surface. This is the height of the SU marker box when it's turned on it's side. On the shelf, I put some acrylic paper shelves I got from Office Depot. Next to them I put two of the SU ink pad holders. I used to have a cassette tape holder on the shelf, but I outgrew it, and for the amount of space it takes, I can store a lot more pads on the two SU holders. It also keeps my ink refills close at hand for watercoloring. On the right of the SU ink holders, I have more acrylic paper holders that have clear drawers in the top. The drawers are perfect for all kinds of small things including Stickles, pencil sharpener, adhesives of all kinds, and more. On top of the acrylic holders, I have some small drawers for embellishments.
I have a small Iris cart on the floor with a teeny drawer unit on top. I have most of my punches in the drawers, plus wipes and other things I like to keep close at hand. I have more close up, detailed photos of the mini drawers. They're currently my favorite thing in the room!
The shelf you can see is from Ikea, the Ivar line. I love them because they are made from real, unfinshed wood, which I will finish when I get time and decide what I'd like to do. They're ultra sturdy and have shelves that are adjustable in 1-inch increments. You can also purchase as many or as few shelves as you want so you can customize it to your own space. It's also very, very inexpensive. It costs about as much as the cheap particle board junk from Target.
I have some more close-up photos showing the details of what I have on my desktop.

What a great space!
I've spent the last hour looking at all the photos to get some ideas as DH has been to see our neighbour builder today to get a quote for our garage to be converted into a 'den' for me!!!! (and my daughter!)
We've planned out the floor space but I'm still wavering between cupboards or loads of shelves so we can see what we have. I already have a lot of what I call trolley drawer units so we think we might go for shelving and put the drawers on them so we can see all that we have.
I like how your space has everything to hand and all very visible. Thanks for the photos!!

Hi Heidi,
I love your stamping room! I am new to stamping and am slowing accumulating my stamping supplies. You have some great organizational ideas for storage and display. My favorite is the pens/markers and ribbon storage.

I absolutely love your stamping space, I have a little hole in the corner of the room and I get freaked out by all the clutter as well! TFS! Hugs, Dannette
