This is a Nan original design. This card was inspired after seeing a black typewriter die cut on a basic red card (I wish I knew who to give credit to. I saw the card on the Two peas in a bucket website but am unable to re-locate it). I cut the typewriter out of black cardstock freehand. The paper in the top is a separate piece inserted in a slot I created by using my slot punch with an added snip with the scissors on both sides. The keys are punched holes revealing some going gray cardstock that is taped to the back. The return arm on the right side of the typewriter was cut separately from some shiny silver cardstock and taped to the back of the black main typewriter cut out. The main background was stamped with a ret. SU background stamp called By Definition (words are love defined). Real red hearts were stamped over that with a heart from a SU ret. set called Mon Ami. The real red layer background was stamped tone-on-tone with a current SU set called Baroque Motifs. The messages: “Happy Valentine’s Day” and “You’re just my type were computer generated using the Bookman Old Style font sizes (8 &14) The real red cardstock hearts were punched with a ret. SU med. size heart punch and a matching smaller Paper Shapers punch. The black strip across the bottom is a piece of shiny Dollar Store ribbon. I thought it simulated a typewriter ribbon. The message at the bottom was punched using the SU word window punch.
