Thump and huff is a technique that someone else on here came up with. Ink up your stamp with a lighter background color (in this case I used More Mustard). Then, use your Markers to "thump" color randomly around on the image. I use the side of the Marker Brush so that the tip doesn't get flattened. Before capping the Marker, I scribble with the side of the brush tip onto scrap paper to clean off any other ink color that might have gotten on the Marker. After you've added all the other colors to the image that you want, "huff" on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp your image. I did sponge some additional Mellow Moss onto this image after stamping it. It filled in all the white spaces and blended the colors together a little more. Left a bit of a green haze around the edges of the image, but I thought it looked fine since spring trees often have a hazy look to me because of the new growth. Most of the haze did not appear in the scan though.
