I helped some friends with card making and this is what we made. I added a couple more flowers and corners after they left so now they can see if they want too add more. They used a small stamp for the sentiment but I wanted something different so I used a computer generated sentiment.
-The Cuttlebug embossing was done in two steps with two folders but its one piece of cardstock and a space is left flat where the ribbon goes across. They didnÂ’t realize the folders will fit through the Cuttlebug in both directionsÂ…now they know!
- The flowers are inked up with rose red then with a darker burgundy marker I go around the edge of each petal with the wide tip. Then mark some center lines with the narrow tip to give it character. I stamped using the positioner so if I wanted it darker I can repeat the process. I did the same procedure with the leaves but didnÂ’t use the smaller tip of the marker.
-The flower center is a punch, stamped to give the cardstock dimension and character and a marker run along the edge.
-The leaves are done with the rock and roll technique but barely touching the edge with the darker and then stamping into the lighter color to tone it down. It was way to dark just with the rock and roll.
-Flower, leaves and punched center are paper sculpted with a large ball end of a embossing stylus. Just start rolling in circles and stay away from the edge of the flowers and leaves.
This makes the paper curl and doesnÂ’t take much time and well worth the end result. I also used the smallest ball end of my smaller stylus to add some straight lines to the flower center.
-The ribbon is tied first then taped to the back of the card for a tighter fit.
-My sentiment on the oval is computer generated and I stacked two white punched ovals onto the black to give it depth. The black is mounted on foam tape.

Just beautiful! Loving the new Cuttlebug folders! Great idea for the corners! Love the colors...seems like black and white really are great with the CB.
