I turned the sketch on its side for this one...I was bound and determined to use this stamp and color combo today I really like how it turned out. I watercolored the image with ink pad lids and did a bit of shading on the flower with some Ruby Red to give it a little more depth. I finally decided I liked Always Artichoke enough to buy the Prints paper, which luckily just arrived here yesterday. I paired my favorite swirly pattern with the stripes from Holiday Harmony; I had to put a thin strip of Blush Blossom in between them because otherwise it didn't look right. The brads were kind of a last-minute decision, the card just looked a little bit plain. Not sure the brads were the right answer, but they're on there now.
My DH said he really liked this card, and he'd comment on it if he were a Splitcoaster. So he says he's going to sign up with the user name "Sexy Hubby" and comment on my cards. Lol!!
ETA: Ok, I'm sitting here laughing my head off at all the "Where's the Sexy Hubby?" comments! Thanks, Cindy! Sexy Hubby's comments are on page 2; if you go here you'll see a picture of him! http://snapdragonchristy.blogspot.co...i-kind-of.html
I'll have to tell him tomorrow (he's already asleep) what's happened since he commented on this card...now there's an SCS uprising and all these mad stampers wanna know how come THEIR DH's don't comment! LOL! Thanks for the comments, ladies! And back off, this Sexy Hubby is MINE!!! Oh, and the pointy ears/pirate hat thing is due to the fact that Sexy Hubby thinks I have a celebrity crush on Orlando Bloom, so he thinks he needs pointy ears and/or a pirate hat to get my attention. I'm not sure how personal watercraft got added to that list, I think it's just because *he* wants one!

The pink, red and the green are quite subtle and go really well together. Laying the design on its side worked ! The only thing I would quibble over is that brad at bottom right - the others are great ,give dimension, but maybe that's a brad too far.

Dear Sweet Christy!
Your card is the most gorgeous one on the face of that place you are always visiting.....what's it called? Splitcoast? Yeah Splitcoast? I love all your cards and I am your biggest fan. I was wondering though if you could do a load of underwear instead of start your next project. I promise to buy you some more stamps if you could just do my underwear.
I love you babe....and your card is the best one in the gallery today and I am not just saying that because you married me! I love it...
