I really liked this stamp set out of the Occasions Mini and this is the first thing I've done with it. I like watercolor sets, and I really took my time coloring in this one. I was going for the look of those apples that are red with some yellow patches on them. Not sure how well I did but I tried to do the shading right. I kept the colors on the fruit crate label really washed out and faded so that it wouldn't be the focus of the image.
I kind of had a hard time choosing a sentiment for this. I could have gone with a birthday thing but for some reason I just liked the one from A Beautiful Thing. I had to find one that would fit in the space I'd left on the card front Seemed like most of the stamps I might have liked for this were just a bit too wide, and I couldn't move my main image over any...I used a scrap of the So Saffron DP and I cut it in pieces to show at the ends, so the main image covers the join.
I love the Prints paper, it's such wonderful stuff. They need to make it in every color. And while I'm wishing for horses, I wish they had brads in every color too. And ribbon. I hate that they don't have Ruby Red ribbon...
