I FINALLY have time to play again. I have been so busy the last weeks getting ready for 2 of our kids to graduate on the same day. I don't know what I was thinking adding my son's home school high school graduation on the SAME DAY as my daughter's college graduation. We went from the college ceremony to having a lunch gathering for about 40 followed immediately by my son's ceremony and open house. I was so frantically busy that without the help of some friends I wouldn't have made it through the day. All this to say that I have some thank you notes to send out and decided try some challenges at the same time.
Today's CAS challenge CAS171 - Sketch by Tilly (5/21/12) by Miss Boo at Splitcoaststampers is a sketch from Tilly and the technique challenge TLC378 ~ Brayered Paper Elements ~ (5/21/12) by joan ervin at Splitcoaststampers is to make brayered paper elements. I started out making my butterflies by brayering River Rock, Soft Suede, and Cherry Cobbler onto vanilla cs. I then used the Beautiful Wings Embosslit to die cut and emboss them and added some sponging around the edges. My card base is Crumb Cake with the Weathered bg in the same ink layered with French Flair in Early Espresso. I used my Cherry Cobbler Marker to omit part of the words for my three single "thanks"
