DD7ABC16K: the alphabet challenge is on the letter K. The double challenge was to make it a kid's card. My letter K word is kite, I have three colorful kites soaring. And I think I met the double challenge as well.
Using this week's sketch, I played with my new distress oxide inks. I masked and sponged the background leaving the side white for the side strip of the sketch. It is sort of an abstract background, think green grass, blue sky, yellow sun. This is a one layer card. I didn't intend to have the white peeking between the colors on the sponging but decided I like it so I left it that way.
I sponged both Cracked Pistachio and Peeled Paint on the green part to get a color I liked better for this section.
I fussy cut the kites and sent them up in the sky. It was fun to make and to play with the oxide ink.
Thanks for looking.

Wow Catherine! I am so impressed with how you made this wonderful card. You did such a terrific job with your masking and sponging that I thought you used dsp! I love these delightfully fun kites that you fussy cut out and sent sailing high into the sky! What a fabulous card for the letter K alphabet challenge my friend! ~Karen.
