I was inspired by Sabrina's sample for this challenge....it was the reverse of the "out of the box" technique. I use 140# watercolor paper, so I had to select a design that wouldn't be too intricate to cut out of this heavier paper.

You did really well with the fussy cutting, Sallie! I've cut wc paper before, and it's not easy to do. As always, your coloring is exceptional....love the texture you have achieved on the leaves, berries and bg too; I love those splatters! The gold outlining looks so well on Christmas cards~

Oh yay, so happy to have inspired you. And grinning, because yes, I used slightly lighter card then normal. And if I know I am likely to want to fussy-cut watercolour paper, I try to remember in advance to use my 90lb. That watercoloring is absolutely gorgeous, love the soft stippled look and the little highlights on the holly berries.
