1. Technique Challenge – Splash Watercolor.
2. Yeti Status requirement.
3. Alphabet Challenge – Letter K – stamp set & sentiment – Kindness
The Splash Watercolor technique was fun to try. I made several backgrounds with Distress Oxide ink. I have one with nice splatter, but I liked how this piece had mostly pink on one side and blue on the other. I decided to use it and mat with the opposite colors. I painted the butterflies with the same ink and then die-cut the panel and popped it up.
This is going to a lonely senior friend in another city. I canÂ’t visit her very often, but I do what I can. She enjoys getting happy mail. She likes to tell me that her favorite color is blue. I make sure every card has a little blue on it. She is always kind to call and thank me for the card; she says how pretty it is and how much she enjoys receiving my cards. I think it makes her feel a little less lonely. SheÂ’ll like this one. Thanks for the fun challenge and sharing a technique. IÂ’ll be using this one again. TFL

This is beautiful - love how you colored those butterflies and the bg paper - so pretty!

Your image is simple, but your background brings it to life, Diane! How kind of you to send to a lonely senior. So many of them get forgotten especially when they can't get out and about, and that's so sad. And who doesn't love receiving happy mail as this!
