For Lyn's Yes, You CAN TLC.
Her tip of adhering the foam to the can before die-cutting was a great one, very helpful.
Luckily I still had part of a Guinness can left from making a snowman a couple of weeks back. I was able to position the body on a black part, and the wings on the harp logo. Added a gem for the eye.
The piece I used for the ornament was on my desk, a second piece for Polly's recent Text MIX challenge, which I hadn't got round to using. It was large enough to cut two ornaments from...after collaging all my text papers I'd embossed it and coloured with gelatos. Today I just added white enamel accents on all the berries.
For a super-quick base I simply embossed some white card with the same pine ef, edged it in gold and tucked the hanging cord behind it before sticking it carefully to a card base.

BEAUTIFUL collage used for your ornament...and your die-cut can bird is beautiful! It looks like the bird is die-cut in at least two pieces and them assembled?? It is gorgeous! Your classically simple white embossed background is perfect to show off your lovely ornament!
