Here is my page for the New years challenge. I scrapped my resolutions and used the second sketch option. My bling is the stars at the top, which are Heidi swapp acetate shapes that I put glitter on and the buckle at the bottom wich is chipboard that has transparent star dust embossing powder. The brackets around the big photo has pearl ex on them. I never scrap myself so this was challenging for me.
Journaling reads:
As with each New Year, I try to come up with realistic resolutions with the hope that I will actually stick with them. This year is no different. While there was so many I wish to do, I have narrowed it down to 3, but each one covers a wide range. So, here they are, with all the details:
1. Work on being a better MOM and WIFE. There are several areas I plan on working on, mainly involving my kids. I want to yell less, hug more, teach by example, form a schedule and a routine, hug more, tell them I love them every morning and every night, along with countless times throughout the day. Be more patient and understanding, with the boys and with my husband. Turn the TV off more, play more games, read more books and do more activities as a family.
2. Lose weight. I know, I know, every year I say this. So what makes this year any different? For starters, see #1. I want to be here for my family and I want to be able to play with my kids. I want to be healthy which means eating better and exercising regularly. My health is an issue and if I donÂ’t take control now, I may never. I want to go out and walk every day, even if itÂ’s just down the street and back. I have some great support behind me and with all their help, I plan on tackling this and sticking to it.
3. Start following Flylady better than I have been. IÂ’ve mastered shining my sink, but everything else seems to go to pot. My goal is to set up my routines and stick to them. I want to declutter my house and get organized. If I can establish my routines, it will leave me more time for my family, and more time for me.
Well, there you have it. These are my main goals for 2007. There are other things I want to do but none seem as important as these. With the love and support of my family and friends, IÂ’m confident I will achieve them all, and then some. Another year has past us by, and a saying I once heard comes to my mindÂ….
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow’s a mystery and today is a gift, that’s why it’s calls the present” (Loretta Larouche)
I look forward to the mystery of the year ahead, and plan on embracing each day as the gift it is meant to be.
